Dienstag, Mai 4th, 2010

MLOVE ConFestival

Nick Heller (Google), Beverly Jackson (Grammy Awards), Richard Titus (AND) and Jonathan MacDonald (JME.net) join 30 speakers for the MLOVE ConFestival –

Berlin, 04-06-2010 – MLOVE (www.mlove.com) has a new date for the ConFestival and is proud to announce new Keynote speakers: Beverly W. Jackson, Senior Marketing Manager of the GRAMMY Awards and Nick E. Heller, in charge of Business Development for Google’s European future incubation labs. They will be joined by Richard D. Titus, CEO of Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND, part of the Daily Mail) – UK’s leading digital publisher of premium-content consumer websites. Media Futurist Jonathan MacDonald of JME.net will lead an “Open Space” innovation format. Altogether, MLOVE invited 30+ global mobile thought leaders from the likes of BMW, Flirtomatic, 1Goal and AutoDesk.

From the evening of June 23rd to June 25th, 2010, the global mobile community will join together to experience a new event format called the MLOVE ConFestival.

Set in an ancient castle south of Berlin, about 200 decision makers and futurists with a mobile background will create their vision of the future of mobile. Participants and speakers from within and from outside the mobile industry will come from as far as Japan and Silicon Valley, reflecting the recognition that mobile has become ubiquitous around the world. It is time for the mobile industry to interact with thought leaders from all disciplines and interests to learn from eachother about how best to utilize mobile to enhance our lives and businesses.

“The MLOVE ConFestival is designed to encourage networking and provides the participants with the opportunity to really get to know eachother in an informal atmosphere. Our goal is to strengthen relationships between the mobile elite and thought leaders from other industries and disciplines,” stated ConFestival Director Peter Giblin.

“This event is mandatory for anybody who wants to keep up with the rapid development of the mobile industry” said Stefanie Hoffman, CEO of mobile social company Aka-Aki, Berlin.

“It’s unbelievable what has happened since we started the MLOVE movement just over a year ago. This event will foster ideas and inspiration to work on a shared vision of the future of mobile. Explicitly not from a technical but from a social and human point of view,” added MLOVE founder Harald Neidhardt.

What It’s Like to Use a Security App

Montag, Februar 22nd, 2010

  • It’ll be called the “PUMA PHONE”
  • As the PUMA brand implies, it’ll be aimed at sporty folks with a feature-set to match.
  • It has a solar cell built-in, presumably for charging the phone
  • GPS
  • Video Chat
  • Bike/Run tracking applications
  • Pedometer (Step counter)
  • Built-in stopwatch
  • A “Music Turntable”
  • Sports news app, IM app, and various other PUMA-branded apps which “give you access to the PUMA world”
  • Announcing MLOVE ConFestival – April 14-16, 2010

    Mittwoch, Dezember 9th, 2009

MLOVE announced a new event exploring inspiration and how mobile will change our future.

The first MLOVE ConFestival in April of 2010 will combine a new way of sharing inspiring stories, innovation, leadership and entrepreneurial success from around the globe. The invite-only event will take place at an undisclosed location that is a 100-room castle and once served as a gathering place of a secret society.

Requests for invites can be emailed to 2010@mlovesociety.org

MLOVE will be a ConFestival of ideas, surprises and value for those that are going beyond the ordinary, challenge the status quo and for those that want to learn and share with fellow passionistas. MLOVE’s goal is to enable people to be inspired and inspire others one story at a time.

“Never before has there been such an intoxicating mix of personal experiences and personal interaction, all centered around the most personal communication device of all time” said MLOVE advisor Jonathan MacDonald, Managing Director of JMA, the global agency that enables companies to execute projects in mobile and other new media.

“We are bringing together CXO’s, innovators and entrepreneurs from across multiple disciplines to share, learn and cross-pollinate ideas with an array of scientists, artists and other thought leaders,” said Peter Giblin, Director of the MLOVE ConFestival. The event exposes the mobile industry to the best minds outside of mobile to maximize the opportunity of creating life-changing services and applications that can impact us all for the better.

The MLOVE ConFestival is a two and a half day event designed to take you outside of every day thinking; an inspirational experience in a trusted environment. The backdrop is mobile, but the goal is to stimulate new ideas and thinking which you can apply to our life, your business and to inspire others.

“We believe mobile is nothing less than the future of our every day lives,” says Andrew J Scott, also an MLOVE advisor and the entrepreneur behind Rummble. “As radio, the telephone, jet engine, television and the Internet before it, wireless communication hanges everything.”

How will mobile change your future?

    About MLOVE:
The MLOVE tribe started grass roots by an international group of “mobile passionistas” in 2008.
Through MLOVE “camps” in Barcelona, San Francisco, Munich, London, New York and Singapore the agenda for MLOVE evolved into more than mobile.

The advisory board to the MLOVE ConFestival 2010 includes: Andrew J. Scott (Rummble),
Harald Neidhardt (Smaato & Founder MLOVE), Jonathan MacDonald (JMA), René Bellack
(Vodafone Media Solutions!) and Stefanie Hoffmann (aka-aki). The ConFestival is co-produced
for MLOVE by Peter Giblin of Learn.Share.Play and in association with James Cameron of Camerjam (www.camerjam.com).

No further details have been announced yet. For information and your request for an invite write to 2010@mlovesociety.org or go to www.mlovesociety.org

    Innovation needs Mavericks

    Donnerstag, November 26th, 2009

Dazu auch ein paar schöne Tipps von Jonathan McDonald: “keep learning, keep growing, ignore competition, work with mavericks, be brave”
